We express here who the grand old lady of Cricklewood NW2 is to us. Cricklewood is a place where all cultures, all roads, all railways (not very many tubes) and, ultimately, all consciousness meets. Even if you don't live in Cricklewood, you can now take a little bit of Cricklewood away with you.

I lived in Cricklewood in the 60s and Broadway looks very different. I used to walk down the lane on my way to the Galtymore. I am now 3,000 miles away from Cricklewood. Thanks for publishing the picture. It brings back memories of long ago.

My pleasure. People still visit the Galtymore but from the little I've seen, they dress a little less conservatively than I imagine was the case in the 60s! Afraid to say that people you saw there in the 60s are probably now in the monolithic Beacon Bingo across the road from the Galtymore...

can anyone help me please! i live in northampton, we had a charity collection on 1st november by company called "a&p collection ltd". they have taken my 3 pairs of my daughters wellie boots from our doorstep by mistake - i didn't know there was to be a collection and left the boots out for cleaning!! if anyone knows of this company - 323 chapter road, nn2 5wd - can't get a phone number - tried to e-mail but awaiting reply! could you please e-mail "garry.clayson@lineone.net" i would be very grateful
